THe trophy ring

The prongs are inspired by the World Cup Trophy...they have a running theme in their relationship where they refer to each other as “Trophy Companions.” This symbolizes their partnership and a reminder of a trip they had in Paris. Three gemstones are set on the inside — a green tourmaline for Barnes and Noble, where they first met, followed by a yellow topaz for their favorite color as well as their connection to Bitcoin, and a red ruby for HBS, where she studied. Framing the gemstones are two carvings. The first carving is a crest made of each of the elements from their flags, highlighting their backgrounds. This includes the crown from the Croatian flag with the river from the Ecuadorian flag for her, and the wings from the Russian emblem for him. The second carving features mountain ranges (the Andes Mountains where her father is from and the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains for where he was born) with the Adriatic Sea flowing between them. Engraved on both side profiles is a race track. The race is a symbolism of the marathon of marriage, and how the finish line represents a successful and happy marriage. The race starts at one side profile, continues through the inside and finishes on the other side. There are a total of 17 diamonds for the 17 months they have been together since they started dating. The last gemstone on each shoulder is a light blue topaz, mirroring their dog Korra’s eyes.
