The Pearl set
As a wedding gift, they gifted both their mothers pearl earrings and a pearl necklace. For his mother, we set two pearls framed by round brilliant diamonds. The first stud highlights when his wife and mother first met at Fig in San Francisco. On the back of the second earring, we honor the many hikes they shared together with a carving of the Temescal Canyon in the Santa Monica mountains. For her mother, we created a line of pearls with four diamond spheres interspersed throughout the piece. The four diamond spheres represent each of her children. Set on each of the diamond spheres are their birthstones. Finally, hand-carved on the back clasp is the image of a dolphin, representing a favorite memory when her mother and husband went dolphin watching in Malibu.
